Health & Safety Policy | Elite End Clean

1. Our Commitment

Elite End Clean is committed to providing a safe and healthy environment for our clients, the public, and ourselves. We operate in full compliance with the New Zealand Health and Safety at Work Act 2015. Our goal is to ensure that every "Elite" clean is performed without injury or incident.

2. Risk Management & Hazard Control

We take a proactive "identify and eliminate" approach to workplace hazards:

  • Chemical Safety: We use 100% plant-based, pH-neutral formulas to eliminate toxic fumes and respiratory risks. Safety Data Sheets (SDS) for all products are maintained and available upon request.

  • Electrical Safety: All equipment (including vacuums and steam extractors) is regularly inspected and maintained to ensure safe operation.

  • Slip & Trip Prevention: During wet cleaning or carpet extraction, we utilize professional "Wet Floor" signage where appropriate and ensure work areas are cleared of loose cables and equipment.

3. Client Responsibilities

To ensure a safe working environment, we ask our clients to:

  • Identify Hazards: Notify us of any known hazards at the property (e.g., faulty power outlets, loose floorboards, or aggressive pets) prior to the service.

  • Safe Access: Provide clear, unobstructed access to the cleaning areas.

  • Biosecurity: Disclose if the property has been exposed to infectious diseases or hazardous biological waste so we can apply the correct PPE protocols.

4. Incident Reporting

In the unlikely event of an accident or "near miss," Elite End Clean maintains a digital Incident Register. All events are documented, investigated, and—if they meet the criteria for a "notifiable event"—reported to WorkSafe NZ as required by law.

5. Continuous Improvement

We regularly review our safety protocols and equipment to stay aligned with NZ industry standards. Our zero-emission Tesla service vehicle further reduces on-site environmental hazards (noise and fumes).
